Event Navigation

Join the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for a discussion on the impact of a $15.00/hour minimum wage with Richard Turner, Senior VP of Legal & Legislative Affairs at the FRLA.

Between the proposed constitutional amendment to raise the minimum wage in Florida the passage of HR 582 in the US House to raise the minimum wage everywhere, the potential impact of an increase to the minimum wage should be top of mind for every business. For those with tipped employees, the impact may be particularly devastating because both proposals reduce or eliminate the tip credit.

We will also take the time to discuss VISIT FLORIDA. As you know, VISIT FLORIDA is vital to growing our tourism industry. This year, they received funding at $50 million and is set to sunset in June 2020. Join us in a discussion on the importance of fighting for this organization.

Each of these issues will impact our businesses, and we look forward to brainstorming with our members on how to educate industry peers and employees on the above.
