MIAMI ( July 22, 2020 ) —Vice Admiral Jerome M. Adams, U.S. Surgeon General, will join Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Executive Board Member Carlos Gazitua to kick off the distribution of masks for individuals employed in the hospitality industry tomorrow, Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Sergio’s Restaurant, 1640 NW 87th Avenue, Doral, Florida.

The event launches a new effort to provide masks to hotel and restaurant workers across the State of Florida, in a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Please, note, for security reasons and due to space limitations as we adhere to social distancing requirements, RSVP to [email protected] is required to attend. WPLG Local 10 will provide pool camera coverage for the event. Media should arrive by 2 p.m.
