FRLA Government Relations is among the most influential and successful advocacy organizations in the state of Florida. The FRLA has a proven track record of promoting and protecting industry interests and practices through aggressive lobbying, grassroots campaigns and fighting for policies that support the food service industry at local, state and federal levels. In fact, by eliminating damaging public policy before it becomes law, our Government Relations team and its ongoing lobbying efforts have saved our industry businesses $1.2 million in taxes and fees over the last 10 years.
The Government Relations team consists of Richard Turner, Samantha Padgett and Mary Rose McCarron. This trio monitors and responds to hundreds of bills and inquiries regarding regulations each year, ensuring that Florida’s hotels and restaurants have an active voice in legislation that impacts your industry.
