Bills We Are Tracking: Week One
Tourist Development Tax (TDT)
SB 1520, sponsored by Senator Don Gaetz, (R – Niceville) and HB 1203, sponsored by Representative Brad Drake, (R – Marianna) will authorize the use of TDT dollars to fund beach safety personnel and lifeguard operational activities in areas with public access, but limits the use to coastal counties with at least nine municipalities and an estimated population of less than 225,000.
