Cyclopora is Happening: Hundreds of people in the US have been sickened with Cyclospora, a parasite that causes symptoms such as stomach cramps, nausea, bloating, and more. Serious complications may occur as well. Read more about Cyclospora at the Food Poison Journal.
Pre-Washed Spinach Still Needs to Be Rinsed Before Using: While in so many cases, produce is sold to restaurants as pre-washed and ready-to-eat without further preparation, it is always best to take the extra step and clean all produce as if it has not been pre-washed.
