(Tallahassee, Fla.) –The Partnership for Florida’s Tourism is proud to present Florida Tourism Day on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Tallahassee. Nearly six hundred tourism and hospitality leaders from across the state will convene for a daylong event designed to educate the legislature, media and Floridians about the importance of Florida’s tourism industry. Ten statewide organizations are participating in the effort and will be hosting a downtown celebration that evening.
In 2016, Florida set another record in tourism by welcoming the highest number of visitors in the state’s history with 112.8 million visitors. This is the sixth consecutive record year for visitation to Florida, exceeding the previous high of 106.6 million in 2015 by 5.9 percent.
Beginning at 5:00pm at the corner of Adams Street and College Avenue, the Tourism Day Street Party will feature live musical entertainment by Billy Dean, Chloe Chanell and Jason Pritchett and emceed by Big Woody Hayes and Cash of the Mornings w/Cash & Woody radio show on 103-1 The Wolf. Admission to the street party is $15 per person, which includes two drink tickets and street party access. Find a list of vendors and more details here.
