About the Miami Dade Chapter

Being the largest and most populated County in Florida, our Chapter provides stellar services, programs and advocacy for our members in this broad-based geographic area. Our esteemed board is comprised of more than 40 diverse industry leaders representing the voice of our members and the industry. We proudly partner and support FIU, MDC, Johnson & Wales, FAU and ProStart and HTMP high school programs.

Industry developed career-building high school programs ProStart Culinary Program and the HTMP Hospitality Tourism Management Program(FRLAEF); sponsor the only event in Florida exclusively serving the restaurant and hotel industry (FR&L Show, in Orlando each fall); we share latest trends and promote our members in our FR&L magazine, and we safeguard the needs of the hospitality industry by providing legislative advocacy with our expert internal government relations team and our lobbying firm.

The Florida Restaurant Association was established in 1946, celebrating 75 years of excellent service to our members. In 2005, we became the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association and within a few years became the largest and most powerful trade association in the State of Florida.

The FRLA partners with the National Restaurant Association and the American Hotel & Lodging Association. We are the only association in Florida that bears this distinction in Florida.
